When complete the office building will overlook a bustling piazza lined by shops and restaurants, New Park Square. This civic square will be the centre for life here at the park: a lively meeting place for anyone and everyone.
At Edinburgh Park, we’re redefining what it means to live and work in the city. Businesses have long accepted high rents and crowded streets as the cost of entry to the heady buzz of Edinburgh’s traditional centre — or had to opt for soulless business parks on the outskirts. 1 New Park Square is the first building in what will be a different way of thinking about the workplace.
That means a place where people are valued, a socially-inclusive community that mixes affordable homes and offices with communal spaces. We’re also bringing the Scottish landscape into the park, including formal planting, water features and trees into the generous public squares and other spaces between buildings — and framing magnificent views of the Pentland Hills.
Striking design is all in a day’s work for our architects, the award-winning practice AHMM. Generous ceilings, roomy balconies and plenty of natural light characterise the interiors of the building, finished with detailing like terrazzo floors and timber lining. 1 New Park Square has its own restaurant, cafe and a conference centre that seats 200.
One day, you’ll be able to enjoy a dip in the lido after work here or sip a cocktail on the square while admiring world-class art. A new type of workplace for Edinburgh is on the way.
Our Arts Strategy at Edinburgh Park is aimed at creating links with Edinburgh’s world class cultural institutions and our commission with Dovecot Studios.
We are delighted to announce that we have now taken possession of our first office building, 1 New Park Square, following practical completion by SRM.
